About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Technical Team Leader to join the NAM Power Systems Execution Team. This role leads a team of Technical Leaders and drives consistent, high-quality technical execution across complex Power Systems projects, programs, and portfolios. The Technical Team Leader provides oversight of technical scope, risk management, design quality, change control, customer engagement, and cross-functional coordination. This individual will partner closely with Project Managers, Engineering teams, Sales, Solution Architects, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Leaders.
  • Establish standards for technical execution, customer engagement, and issue resolution.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure projects meet contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee technical scope management, risk identification, and change control.
  • Monitor technical performance, design quality, and issue resolution across projects.
  • Drive consistency in execution practices and technical deliverables.
  • Partner with Project Managers to align technical execution with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide leadership on high-risk, high-complexity projects.
  • Resolve escalated technical issues and support customer-facing discussions.
  • Coordinate across multiple business units, engineering teams, and geographies.
  • Standardize technical execution practices and best practices.
  • Lead initiatives focused on value engineering, lessons learned, and execution excellence.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement process, training, or governance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of engineering or technical leadership experience supporting large, complex projects.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical professionals.
  • Strong background in technical scope management, risk management, change control, and customer engagement.
  • Experience with power systems equipment, including LV/MV switchgear (AIS/GIS), E-Houses, and substation equipment.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of power systems engineering and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, contracts, and customer requirements.
  • Experience with equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of engineering coordination, design reviews, and document control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to execution excellence.

Travel

Up to 30% travel required. Schedule may vary based on project and customer requirements.

Pay

For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
