Technical Team Lead

Education And Experience
Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical and leadership experience. Typically, 7+ years total experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with leadership across operations to dispatch the field controls technician (FCT) team for startup surge support.
- Tracks, documents, and disseminates varying project requirements to FCT team to ensure they comply with customer safety, workflow, and billing requirements.
- Leads and mentors FCT team in day-to-day assignments.
- Tracks and coordinates FCT team member training needs.
- Coordinates with leadership on upcoming skillset needs and facilitates training to meet those needs.
- Works with project managers and leadership team to identify technical point of contact personnel for each FCT assignment.
- Serves as escalation point between leadership, project managers, FCT team, and trade partners.
- Clearly and effectively communicates schedules, assignments, and FCT team needs across the organization.
- Forecasts and communicates staffing needs to leadership team.
- Continually monitors team morale, workload, project team dynamics, and advocates for FCT team needs with leadership.
- Continually evaluates FCT team skillsets, preferences, goals, and team dynamics.
- Aligns FCT team assignments to meet business needs and FCT team goals as effectively as possible.
- Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.
- Understands basic control system design and how it interfaces with other systems.
- Practices procedures outlined in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Demonstrates the ability to proof-read self-generated documentation.
- Consistently champions safety policies in the office and the field.
- Has an open mind, especially with opposing viewpoints.
- Adapts to changing demands of projects and teams.
- Anticipates possible issues that may arise across the FCT team and proactively plans solutions.
- Ensures the FCT team adheres to realistic schedules and budgets.

Travel
Overnight travel may be required up to 50%.
On Call
On-call rotation participation may be required based on location and client needs.
