Technical Team Lead
About the role
The Technical Team Lead at Gordon Food Service provides leadership direction to the technical team in delivering software project components and technical expertise. They collaborate with the Business Process Leads, Business SME, Functional Analysts, Project Manager, Team Manager, and developers on various projects, focusing on application product delivery aspects.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for projects and serve as point of contact in collaboration with the Team Manager.
- Lead Agile ceremonies in support of Gordon Agility.
- Develop vision for the project, identifying and agreeing on problems to be solved, system stakeholders, system boundaries, and primary system features.
- Analyze current business systems, determine scope and estimate effort for each element of scope.
- Aid in designing GUI and software components.
- Perform requirement analysis, including determination of Actors and Use Cases, and development of Business Use Cases and Systems Use Cases.
- Coordinate development efforts, lead code reviews, and ensure compliance with quality control processes.
- Construct various software components and validate completeness and quality.
- Assist in monitoring project activities, define best practices, and initiate process improvements.
- Provide input in hiring decisions and performance evaluations; mentor and motivate the team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Five to eight years previous software engineering experience with one year previous leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
