Technical Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Engineer to deploy, configure, integrate, maintain, and support mission-critical Decision Intelligence and Real-Time Crime Center technologies. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the operational availability of systems supporting police commanders and emergency response decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RTCC platforms.
• Integrate enterprise systems including: CAD / RMS / GIS, Video Management Systems (VMS) & CCTV, ALPR & IoT Sensors, Drone platforms & Mobile applications, AI and Decision Intelligence platforms
• Configure APIs and middleware integrations.
• Maintain system performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues.
• Support cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and system hardening.
• Perform upgrades, backups, disaster recovery testing, and maintenance.
• Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 technical support.
• Aid with customer demonstrations, testing, and user training.
• Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years supporting enterprise IT systems.
• Strong core technical experience with: Windows Server & Linux, Networking & Virtualization, Databases (SQL) & REST APIs, Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
• Proven experience integrating enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public safety systems and GIS platforms.
• Knowledge of AI platforms and Decision Intelligence.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with SOC environments, RTCCs, or emergency operations centers.
