Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Practitioner with Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct TSCM evaluations and surveys on NGA facilities, systems, and devices.
  • Use TSCM equipment to inspect, detect, and counter potential surveillance threats.
  • Execute security evaluations on classified open storage, secure rooms, and construction projects for compliance with ICD 705 and other national policies.
  • Support Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) threat analysis and assist with internal inquiries and investigations.
  • Collaborate with Physical and Technical Security Officers and IC partners.
  • Provide vulnerability assessments and briefings on findings with recommended mitigations.
  • Maintain TSCM equipment and ensure readiness of all inspection systems.
  • Prepare written reports, updates, and post-inspection summaries in compliance with NGA directives.
  • Liaise with IC counterparts, FBI, NCIX, and other agencies as necessary to ensure coordinated counter-surveillance support.
  • Travel to conduct inspections or support assessments as directed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in TSCM or a closely related security function.
  • Demonstrated experience using TSCM equipment and conducting hands-on inspections and countermeasures operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal security regulations, ICD 705, and national counterintelligence standards.
  • Experience preparing formal written security and technical reports.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting TSCM surveys for the IC or DoD entities.
  • Familiarity with SCIF standards, classified construction projects, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Understanding of foreign intelligence threats and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience briefing technical topics to senior leadership.
