About the role
Assemble manufactured components produced through 3D printing, CNC machining, welding, and sheet-metal fabrication. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience using hand and power tools are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, fastening, bonding, fitting, alignment, sub-assembly, and final assembly.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, and torque wrenches safely.
- Install screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, and other hardware.
- Apply adhesives, sealants, and thread-locking compounds as required.
- Perform visual inspections, verify fit/alignment, and identify quality issues.
- Maintain accurate assembly documentation and support first-article inspections.
- Retrieve materials from inventory and maintain an organized 5S work area.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and ISO 9001 documentation practices.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, shipping, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical training.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing/assembly experience.
- Experience with precision assembly and tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools.
- Experience with torque wrenches, adhesive bonding, and fastening techniques.
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, CNC, welding, or complex assembly environments.
- Forklift certification.
