Technical Support Field Engineer

About the role

This is a Contract to Hire Technical Support Engineer position based out of Hopewell Junction, NY, requiring full‑time onsite work. The role involves traveling throughout eastern New York State to provide level 1‑3 support for end‑user devices, servers, and basic networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handle level 1‑3 technical issues in the field.
• Provide desktop support (hardware and software).
• Perform server hardware support including rack and stack, MDF/IDF work.
• Configure and troubleshoot basic networking equipment (routers, switches).
• Support Windows 11, Office 365, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID.
• Provide mobile device support.
• Travel to various locations; must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Mileage and gas expenses are reimbursed.

Requirements

• Experience with desktop support (hardware & software).
• Experience with server hardware support (rack and stack, MDF/IDF).
• Basic networking knowledge – configuring routers and switches.
• Proficiency with Windows 11, Office 365, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID.
• Experience supporting mobile devices.
• Willingness to travel and possession of a personal vehicle.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45.00 – $50.00 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will be based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job‑related factors.
