Key Responsibilities

  • Aid the site teams in developing Project Quality Plans, monitoring, and testing processes and procedures applicable to each project.
  • Review works on site and prepare reports highlighting:
    • Best Practices
    • Items needing referral to the project design team
    • Non-compliance with quality standards, Employer’s Requirements, and Statutory requirements
    • Preventative actions required, and suggest appropriate actions (to be accepted by the protection team)
  • Support Construction Materials on-site, including:
    • Materials inspection, testing, and reporting
    • Specification guidance
    • Maintenance and support of complex or high-quality works
  • Engage with Group Specialist Businesses for technical and design support as needed.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Effective communication and technical understanding through application
  • Knowledge of materials, quality standards, technical standards (e.g., Building Regulations), and attention to quality and detail
  • ICWCI membership or equivalent experience would be advantageous
  • At least 15 years of relevant construction experience with a main contractor, preferably with a diverse project background across multiple sectors
  • Ability to collaborate, work as a key team player, and foster positive client relationships
