About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Solutions Specialist to bring advanced geoscience expertise and strong customer engagement skills to our Energy customers across the APAC region. In this hands-on role, you will deliver tailored technical support, product demonstrations, training, and mentoring that help users get the most from Seequent’s geoscience solutions, with a primary focus on Oasis montaj, Leapfrog, and Central. You will work closely with sales teams, global technical leads, and development teams to understand customer workflows, support trials through to advanced use, promote best-practice workflows, and contribute to the commercial growth of Seequent’s software suite.

Responsibilities

  • Share expert-level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing Energy sector users to support effective use of Seequent’s geoscience tools.
  • Partner with Account Managers and New Sales teams to advance opportunities through product demonstrations, workflow discovery, trials, and implementation planning.
  • Provide remote technical support and guidance, working through specific user examples and developing tailored solutions for complex geoscience challenges.
  • Proactively engage clients through health checks, new software release updates, and best-practice guidance that embeds new features into their workflows.
  • Deliver regular training sessions and workshops on Oasis montaj, Leapfrog Energy, and Central to build user capability and confidence.
  • Collaborate with regional and global technical teams, software development teams, and cross-disciplinary colleagues to improve solutions and support strategic business objectives.

Requirements

  • A geoscience qualification up to Bachelor level, preferably in Geophysics, Geology, or Hydrogeology.
  • 5+ years’ experience in geothermal, oil and gas, CSS, hydrogeology, and/or reservoir engineering roles, with a strong track record in the energy industry.
  • Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia at a highly technical and professional level, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience and a solid understanding of geophysical acquisition, validation, processing, and modelling workflows, including gravity and magnetic methods.
  • Strong skills in 3D geophysical and geological modelling software and the ability to apply software solutions to real-world Energy challenges.
  • A customer-focused, collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for mentoring others, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Skills

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with Leapfrog, Volsung, or Central.
  • Proficiency using Oasis montaj, including a solid grasp of its advanced features.
  • Experience in software sales or a technical role supporting commercial software projects, including product testing and customer-focused solution development.

Location and Schedule

This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and is office-based. The role requires travel within the region and overseas when required, up to approximately 15% monthly.
