Technical Solutions Manager
About the Role
We're looking for someone who thrives when bridging the gap between a platform's capabilities and a client's real needs. You don’t just say "no" or overpromise—you dig into what the client actually needs, build a solution, and empower them to use it independently. At Onflo, you’ll do exactly that for K-12 school districts, ensuring our unified service platform works for their unique challenges.
This role is posted as Technical Solutions Manager (internally called Client Solutions Manager) because your work directly serves districts. You’ll own post-implementation solutioning, from custom workflows and chatbot configurations to call center setups and troubleshooting. You’ll scope projects, write statements of work, and train districts to become self-sufficient. For smaller projects, you’ll handle everything end-to-end; for larger ones, you’ll scope and hand off to our Implementation team.
Responsibilities
- Own solutioning for a book of district accounts: discovery, design, configuration, and delivery.
- Customize the platform: build custom forms, workflows, chatbots, and call center configurations.
- Troubleshoot escalated district issues with advanced diagnostics.
- Scope expansion projects and write statements of work in partnership with Account Management.
- Design and deliver training (live and virtual) to ensure districts are self-sufficient, not dependent.
- Coordinate daily with our India-based Client Care team, ensuring clear written handoffs across time zones.
- Balance technical feasibility with client needs—sometimes saying "no" with a better alternative.
Who Thrives Here
Onflo is a small, entrepreneurial team where priorities shift and ownership matters. This role sits at the intersection of Account Management, Implementation, and Client Care, and you’ll navigate those seams daily. The best fit for this role:
- Enjoys building solutions and teaching others to use them.
- Keeps commitments without needing reminders.
- Pushes back on unworkable requests instead of quietly absorbing them.
- Writes clearly so colleagues across time zones can act without a call.
- Cares about public schools and the families they serve.
If you prefer to advise from a distance or hand off the build, this isn’t the role for you. If you want to own the problem from "What do you need?" to "Here’s how it works," we’d love to hear from you.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a post-sales technical client-facing role in B2B SaaS (e.g., technical account management, implementation, professional services).
- Hands-on experience configuring platforms: workflows, forms, integrations, or similar.
- Experience scoping client projects and writing statements of work.
- Experience designing and delivering client training (live and virtual).
- Able to explain solutions clearly to both technical (IT directors) and non-technical (front-office staff) audiences.
- K-12 or public-sector experience is a plus but not required—we’ll teach you the industry if you bring the fundamentals.
Location & Schedule
This role is based at our Herndon, Virginia headquarters and requires working onsite 3–4 days per week. Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required.
Pay
Expected base salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus. Exact pay depends on experience, skills, market demand, and internal equity.
