Wavetronix is seeking a Networking ITS Field Technician to join our team. This role will be full-time and primarily onsite in our New England office, covering Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Preference is given to candidates located in Massachusetts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will help solve customer technical problems, professionally guide installations, provide training, and offer ongoing support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Master installation and configuration of Wavetronix core products
  • Demonstrate and troubleshoot Wavetronix products
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Provide technical training (up to 10 people)
  • Give technical presentations
  • Review plans and design Wavetronix products into projects
  • Conduct technical site surveys
  • Provide service and customer support
  • Help manage on-site installations/configurations
  • Diagnose errors and determine solutions
  • Document processes and produce trip reports
  • Cooperate with the team and share information
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make recommendations
  • Keep track of projects and support cases in CRM
  • Be excited about personal development and engage in training
  • Travel as required within and between territories

Requirements

  • 3+ years of networking field work or technical sales experience
  • Self-starter with ability to execute presentations to large groups
  • Able to travel 50% or more in a month within the region (company vehicle provided)

Qualifications

  • Technical degree (EE, EET) or certifications in ITS/traffic industry preferred

  • Demonstrate functional knowledge to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service Wavetronix technical equipment
  • Able to effectively use mobile tools and applications
  • Have a positive relationship with Wavetronix customers
  • Able to understand and effectively communicate technical procedures and processes to customers
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations to the client
  • Effectively communicate and cooperate with Technical Services and share information across the organization
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and demonstrate all Wavetronix products
  • Learn intersection and controller cabinet basic operation
  • Perform at least 5 solo technical customer visits

Benefits

Wavetronix offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience, transferable skills, years of service, and base pay median based on location. This is a non-commission-based role.
