Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides technical information and identifies technical opportunities.
- Provides technical analysis of customer complaints.
- Provides advice, counsel, and recommendations on all matters pertaining to the technical aspects of the Company's activities.
- Investigates customer issues using problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma methodology to get at root cause of the challenging and complex issues internally and externally.
- Provides feedback to R&D for new product development opportunities.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical degree.
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Hands on experience in specification and design of plastics tooling, equipment, and automation.
- Previous project management experience.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Exposure to machine noise.
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
- High volume manufacturing environment.
- Walking in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
- May involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds.
- Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
