Technical Services Building Systems Specialist III (BSA III)

The Technical Services Building Systems Specialist III (BSA III) is a highly skilled member of the Technical Services team, responsible for evaluating, programming, optimizing, and testing building systems to produce optimized energy and project outcomes for retro-commissioning (RCx) and new construction commissioning (Cx). This role supports training and mentorship of staff and collaborates with project delivery teams to fulfill essential duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with ENFRA policies, procedures, safety guidelines.
- Document, collaborate, and communicate activities, technical issues, and solutions to the project delivery team and Team Manager.
- Execute and complete assigned tasks and deliverables in a timely manner.
- Participate in site surveys, documentation review, and due diligence activities to determine facility conditions and develop energy conservation measures.
- Participate in design and submittal reviews of new construction scope as part of the commissioning process.
- Utilize CxAlloy software to document assigned new construction commissioning scopes, develop, and QC pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests.
- Develop technical reports and project observations to support solutions development and understanding of progress, system operation, and on-site conditions.
- Implement energy conservation measures independently or in collaboration with project delivery team partners.
- Review pre-functional checklists and compare to actual site conditions when required.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and modify building system programming to implement energy conservation measures.
- Troubleshoot, address, and recommend solutions related to building system integration and networking.
- Utilize test instrumentation to troubleshoot, verify, and optimize building system operation.
- Oversee and execute functional performance tests as part of the acceptance of construction scope.
- Provide on-site supervision of trade partners and sub-consultants when required.
- Ensure implemented energy conservation measures and building system programming are well documented, understood, and archived.
- Maintain awareness of energy performance for assigned scopes and collaborate with the project team to ensure performance targets are met.
- Ensure issues are properly identified, communicated, tracked, and addressed by the appropriate delivery team members.
- Assist with the resolution of issues, including proposing solutions to the project.
- Proactively address and escalate impediments to achieving project outcomes and scope completion.
- Adhere to and exemplify IS Delivery and Technical Services process guidelines and SOPs.
- Uphold ENFRA organizational core values.

Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent in HVAC, Energy Management, Building Automation, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to safety.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with minimal or limited information and direction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Competency with Cloud-Based commissioning software platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
- Building automation systems design and programming experience.
- Certifications in building automation systems platforms such as Siemens Insight or Desigo, JCI Metasys Extended Architecture, Schneider Ecostruxure BSO, Trane, Niagara, Distech.
Travel Requirements
40-60% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Pay
USD $32.10 - USD $42.88 per hour.
