Technical Service Specialist
About the role
The North America team at Grain & Protein Technologies is seeking a Technical Service Specialist for their Assumption, IL facility. The primary focus is on Material Handling products such as conveyors and bucket elevators.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance via contact center, e-mail, and mobile devices
- Occasionally support via site visits assisting and teaching the dealer network in servicing GPT equipment
- Support installation best practices and operational optimization specifically for Material Handling product lines
- Utilize Salesforce & Natterbox systems to provide remote technical support accordingly
- Document call details into Salesforce Case Management System for future collaboration with internal support teams - Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Warranty
- Participate in and lead product cross training opportunities to develop above average product knowledge of GSI product portfolio
- Present and teach in classroom and hands-on environment to train team members & Dealer technicians on the construction and operation of product offerings
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Material Handling / Storage equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of electric circuits, wiring schematics and drawings (Mechanical aptitude, pneumatic & hydraulic experience a plus)
- Broad understanding of all GPT grain products, preferred
- Above average negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Above average business writing skills
- Above average facilitation skills

Benefits
Your compensation and benefits package includes an expected annual salary of $60,000 - $90,000, plus an annual bonus dependent upon job-related knowledge, experience, and skills. Pay
$60,000 - $90,000 annually
Schedule
Hybrid role with four days per week (Monday - Thursday) in office (Fridays are flexible for in office or remote)
