Technical Sales Specialist Wood Veneer

About the role

This is an on-site position working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM in a professional office and manufacturing environment. We are looking for an experienced and dependable professional with a background in wood veneer, woodworking, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, architectural millwork, laminates, wood products, manufacturing support, technical customer service, or technical sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical customer support and product guidance by responding to customer questions, troubleshooting veneer application and performance concerns, recommending solutions, and helping customers select the correct products for their projects.
  • Investigate and solve manufacturing and field-related issues involving veneer cracking, checking, bonding, finishing, installation methods, substrate compatibility, and overall product performance while helping identify practical root-cause solutions.
  • Support sales growth and customer retention by building trusted customer relationships, communicating professionally across departments, and developing deep expertise in Oakwood Veneer products, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in woodworking, veneer, manufacturing, quality, production support, technical customer service, inside sales, or related industries.
  • Experience troubleshooting product or production-related issues is preferred.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will become highly knowledgeable in wood veneer manufacturing, technical troubleshooting, finishing systems, defect prevention, quality improvement, and customer applications. Extensive paid training will be provided during onboarding to help build a full understanding of Oakwood Veneer's products, systems, manufacturing processes, and technical support approach.
