TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

LOCATION: CALIFORNIA, TEXAS, ARIZONA, NEVADA, OR PACIFIC NORTHWEST (candidates must currently reside in one of these locations) Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 USD Base Salary + Commission Work Model: Remote / Field-Based Position Overview: This is a hands-on outside sales role for a motivated salesperson who understands the metal finishing industry — this is NOT a management position. We are looking for a "soldier," not a "general." Candidates with existing relationships within plating shops, anodizers, metal finishers, aerospace manufacturers, and industrial OEMs will be highly successful. Key Responsibilities: - Business Development: Identify new business opportunities throughout the territory; convert competitive accounts - Account Management: Develop, manage, and grow customer accounts; build relationships with purchasing managers, plant managers, engineers - Technical Sales: Recommend chemical solutions based on customer applications; coordinate product trials and evaluations - Territory Management: Manage travel schedules; maintain CRM records; prepare quotations and negotiate pricing Required Qualifications: - Must have existing legal authorization to work in the United States - Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Marketing, or related) - Minimum 3-5 years of outside B2B sales experience within industrial or specialty chemicals - Proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts - Proven sales experience within surface treatment, metal finishing, plating, or related specialty chemicals - Established relationships with customers/decision-makers within the surface and metal finishing industry - Valid driver's license Strong Plus / Preferred: Experience selling surface/metal finishing chemicals; existing customer relationships within plating industry; experience with aerospace, automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturers Target Product Experience: Electroplating chemicals, Anodizing chemicals, Metal cleaners and pretreatment chemicals, Passivation chemicals, Conversion coatings, Corrosion protection products Ideal Candidate Background — candidates may currently work for: Miles Chemical, MacDermid Enthone, PAVCO, Columbia Chemical, Atotech, Coventya, Chemetall, Hubbard Hall, or similar (particularly throughout Texas and target territories) Compensation & Benefits: Base salary $100,000-$125,000 USD plus commission, significant earning potential for high performers
