Responsibilities

  • Outbound communications to customers and prospects to identify needs and provide Kayden’s solutions.
  • Interacting with both purchasing and engineering.
  • Trouble shooting complex customer problems, inquiries / service requests.
  • Respond to requests for proposals / quotes, regional referrals, blanket order requests, large order pricing / discounting etc.
  • Utilize customer profile data (SIC Codes, NAIS Codes, history, geographic region etc.) to target accounts with the greatest potential and match business fit with Krayden.
  • Probing of customer / prospect needs in order uncover sales opportunities.
  • Building Brand awareness and promoting Kayden’s products and services.
  • Retaining sales in assigned accounts.
  • Developing and implementing Account Plans / campaigns to identify additional business with past purchasers as well as new accounts to penetrate accounts and secure greater share of customers supply needs.
  • Coinciding with product managers to increase sales and vendor support.
  • Partnering with Marketing, Tech support and other departments as necessary to develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns within Territory.
  • Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers, attend and participate in relevant trade shows.
  • Attending Krayden and supplier sponsored training.
  • Identifying and properly qualifying new business opportunities using available resources.
  • Executing timely preparation of all expense reports, budgets, and all other reports as requested by Krayden Managers, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience; Chemical Manufacturing or Distribution preferred.
  • Industry experience or knowledge in Electronics, Aerospace, Transportation, Adhesives or Contract Manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience driving successful sales results (sales growth year over year, improved customer retention, quantifiable business results, etc.).
  • Proven results (quantifiable, definitive plan, execution, and results) in providing value added service to customers.
  • Strong PC and computer software experience Microsoft word, outlook, excel, PowerPoint and CRM Software.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical/discerning skills.
  • Exceptional listening and probing skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct the work of others.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background / knowledge of industrial distribution or chemical manufacturing is a plus.
