Summary

This position serves as the primary technical sales resource for the Eirich product line, working closely with customers, Customer Support, Inside Sales, Product Specialists, Engineering, and Technology Teams to identify opportunities, qualify customer requirements, and develop equipment solutions that meet customer process needs. The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, increasing market share, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle across multiple industries served by Eirich.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Become the technical sales expert for the Eirich Product Line, continuously expanding application, process, and product knowledge.
  • Develop in-depth expertise in Eirich mixing, granulation, preparation, and process technologies across multiple industries.
  • Increase sales by expanding existing customer relationships while proactively developing new business opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new projects through prospecting, networking, referrals, customer visits, and market research.
  • Develop strategic territory plans designed to achieve or exceed annual sales and profitability objectives.
  • Provide forecasting, strategic planning, and market intelligence for the North LATAM territory with an Industry focus on foundry, ceramic/refractory and glass.
  • Review sales pipeline, opportunities, forecasts, and market activities regularly with the Director of Sales.
  • Maintain accurate Opportunities, Contacts, Accounts, forecasting, and customer activity within the CRM system.
  • Identify gaps in sales performance and develop action plans to achieve sales goals.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and effectively qualify opportunities while coordinating with Product Specialists and the Director of Sales when appropriate.
  • Work directly with customers to understand manufacturing processes, production challenges, project objectives, equipment specifications, and testing requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer testing activities when required.
  • Prepare detailed technical information, specifications, application requirements, and test results for quotation development by the Inside Sales team.
  • Review customer purchase orders to ensure equipment specifications, pricing, commercial terms, delivery expectations, and project scope are accurate prior to order processing.
  • Visit customer facilities to evaluate applications, observe equipment operation, identify improvement opportunities, conduct technical presentations, and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Promote aftermarket opportunities, including replacement parts, service, upgrades, modernization projects, and preventive maintenance solutions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering, Inside Sales, and Technology Teams to deliver complete customer solutions.
  • Represent Eirich at trade shows, technical conferences, customer seminars, and industry events throughout Mexico and North America.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the complete Eirich Group product portfolio and identify opportunities for cross-selling with other Eirich companies when appropriate.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive products, emerging technologies, and market developments.
  • Support management initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Travel approximately 60–70%, including overnight travel throughout Mexico as business requires.

Education/Training

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or application engineering for industrial capital equipment.
  • Experience selling industrial processing, mixing, material handling, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Demonstrated success growing sales through technical solution selling.
  • Experience developing new accounts while managing existing customer relationships.
  • Experience working with distributors or manufacturer's representatives is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally when required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Mexico.
  • Ability to travel to Eirich facilities for product training and meetings.
