Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety as a core TotalEnergies value
  • Complies with all site safety policies and practices, Polymers Americas safety activities and objectives
  • Works with PPA US Manager and Global PPA team to offer the most suitable product to answer customer's RFQ, maximizing the profitability for the account
  • Follow up on customer's forecast, credit, delivery to ensure customer's order are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Timely investigation into complaints. Work with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions in place to avoid reoccurrence
  • Attends to customer's needs in molding trials: bumpers, body panels, side sills, rocker panels, air bags, etc., using these unusual materials
  • Generates and provides certification needed by special Automotive customers — PPAP, PSW, ISO/A2LA, TDS',s, COA, etc.
  • Schedule regular meetings (via Teams or face-to-face) to ensure customer proximity and maintain good relationship for growth
  • Customer prospection: Introduce PP Automotive USA, present products, follow product trials, solve complicated and critical performance, molding and color issues, all with the goal to develop business growth for PPA Americas
  • Develop and maintain allocated accounts that fit into the overall growth areas and profitability as set in the budget

Requirements

  • Maintain positive internal relationships with local and dotted line responsibility to the European PP Automotive Team

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree or higher, preferably in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant polymer experience. Good working knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and specialized end-use processing, especially injection molding

Skills

  • Ability to organize, multi-task, think analytically, process strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills for effective leadership (boldness, active listener) and negotiating skills
