Technical Sales Consultant Rheology

About the role

As a Technical Sales Consultant on the West Region sales team, you will drive business growth in rheology within your territory of Central and Northern California. You will report to the West Region Sales Director in Torrance, CA, and your ideal base is near Sacramento, CA, though other major cities in the territory are possible.

Responsibilities

• Generating and developing new accounts and effectively managing existing accounts.
• Presenting to small and large audiences including C‑suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
• Qualifying opportunities, developing proposals, and closing business.
• Travel (up to 50‑60%, including overnight) for meetings, demonstrations, and installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales; analytical instruments sales strongly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in a natural sciences or engineering is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and passport.

Pay

Base salary range: $98,800 per year to $111,800 per year. Uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from dollar one and accelerates upon exceeding targets.
