Technical Recruiter (Temporary Contract)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing and innovative leader in pharmacy automation, is seeking a Contract Talent Acquisition Partner to support their team during a maternity leave. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact recruiting role where you will partner closely with leadership and play a key role in hiring talent that supports cutting-edge technology initiatives. You'll join a small, collaborative Talent Acquisition team and help drive recruiting efforts during an exciting period of growth and transformation, including modernization initiatives across software and AI-driven platforms.
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite preferred; remote flexibility available)
Duration: August 2026 - January 2027 (maternity leave coverage)
Pay: $45-$50/hour (flexibility for highly qualified candidates)
What You'll Do
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical, non-technical, and early career (internship) roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and deliver a consultative recruiting experience
- Lead sourcing efforts for software engineering, data, and technical roles, while supporting business functions as needed
- Build and execute creative sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates
- Manage a typical workload of ~8-12 requisitions at a time (will flex with hiring demand)
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through proactive communication and process management
- Provide market insight and guidance to hiring managers, helping influence hiring decisions
- Maintain accurate recruiting data and leverage tools (ADP, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.) to track progress and improve outcomes
- Support additional TA initiatives, reporting, and process improvement efforts as needed
What You'll Be Recruiting For
This role is heavily focused on technical recruiting, with additional exposure across the business:
- Software Engineers & Developers (including modernization/cloud environments)
- Data and technical roles tied to AI-driven transformation
- IT / IS support roles
- Business functions (Finance, PMO, etc.)
- Internship hiring (Fall recruiting cycle for Summer programs)
What You Bring
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across technical and business roles
- Strong experience recruiting software engineers and other IT roles
- Proven ability to source passive candidates for competitive positions
- Experience partnering with hiring managers in a consultative, advisory capacity
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, less structured environment with evolving priorities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Tools experience with ATS systems (ADP preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruiting technologies
- A proactive, resourceful, "figure-it-out" mindset with strong follow-through
Work Environment & Team
- Small, close-knit Talent Acquisition team (you'll work directly with the TA Manager)
- Hybrid work model (1 day/week onsite preferred; flexible based on candidate location)
- Collaborative but highly autonomous role-this is not a heavily managed environment
- Opportunity to train alongside the current recruiter before taking full ownership
