Technical Recruiter, Early Career
About the role
This is a role for a builder: someone energized by the question of how to find and cultivate exceptional emerging talent, who gets excited about crafting programs and experiences that don't yet exist, and who sees employer brand, candidate experience, and assessment design in an AI era as creative problems worth obsessing over.
You'll own Notion's early career strategy end-to-end alongside a team of talented teammates — from how we reach communities to how we evaluate potential, develop talent, and convert interns and new grads into the next generation of Notinos.
You'll work closely with our Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People teams. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City.
Responsibilities
- Design and run recruiting programs (internships, new grad pipelines, 0-2 years from school pipelines) that are durable, scalable, and distinctly Notion.
- Experiment with communities, hackathons, open-source, AI-native sourcing tools, and creative outreach that meets candidates where they are.
- Build inspired evaluation frameworks that challenge conventional interview loops; build assessments that reveal how early career candidates think, learn, and create — not just what they already know.
- Partner with Comms, Design, and People to articulate why Notion is the best place to launch a career, and bring that story to life across channels, events, and touchpoints.
- Hire team capability: coach and equip hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career talent with nuance, fairness, and high standards.
Requirements
2+ years of recruiter experience, with meaningful exposure to early career, university, or program-based hiring.
A builder mentality — you're most energized when creating something new, not managing something established.
Genuine curiosity about how to find and evaluate emerging talent; you're always experimenting with new sourcing channels, assessment formats, and candidate engagement strategies.
Strong instincts for employer brand and candidate experience — you think about how every touchpoint shapes perception and builds (or erodes) trust.
The ability to move between strategy and execution; you can design a program and then run it.
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners.
Comfort with data — you use it to make decisions, spot patterns, and make the case for what's working.
