Technical Project/Program Management - Technical Program Manager III
About the role
The main function of a Technical Program Manager is to provide successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and related activities. This role involves program-level strategic planning, interaction with executive-level management, complex issue resolution, and team building.
Responsibilities
- Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget.
- Oversee project scope definition, requirements gathering, time estimating, project schedule development, and project status reporting.
- Manage issue and risk management, contingency planning, and communications across multiple organizational levels.
- Facilitate agile squad ceremonies, such as stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives, to maintain delivery cadence.
- Track and unblock cross-squad and cross-functional dependencies in matrixed, multi-team delivery environments.
- Manage release gate-keeping, validating quality and readiness criteria prior to production deployments.
- Translate business priorities into engineering-ready requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery timelines.
- Drive change management during delivery-model transitions.

- Own recurring cross-project status and risk reporting for stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in Technical Program Management.
- Experience in project estimating, project scheduling and tracking, and implementation planning in large organizations.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle.

- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to learn business processes quickly and to work with business partners at different levels within the organization.
- Ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
- An MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
- PMP or PMI certification is preferred.
