Role Description
UST is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a team in managing end-to-end networking upgrades for one of the leading healthcare providers in the US.
Opportunity
- Project Leadership and Execution: Lead and manage the networking upgrade team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans for networking upgrades, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and ensure successful execution.
- Utilize your technical background to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Work as a hands-on technologist when needed, applying technical skills and experience in the development and delivery of upgrade solutions following established methodologies, processes, and practices.
- Develop detailed project plans for networking upgrades, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and ensure successful execution.
- Technical Expertise and Impact Assessment: Plan and manage networking upgrades, including data at rest and in motion encryption, DB2 hardware upgrades, and sandbox refactoring.
- Absorb the impact of upgrades on existing systems and processes, and develop strategies to mitigate any negative effects.
- Provide technical expertise in database upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

- Stakeholder and Risk Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to ensure project alignment and transparency.

- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.

- Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.
- Training and Support: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that team members and stakeholders are well-prepared for networking upgrades.
What You Need
- Strong background and deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
- Strong background in data management and data warehousing projects, with familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools, preferably Ab Initio.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Working knowledge of UNIX systems and databases (e.g., DB2, Postgres).
- Expertise in planning and managing networking upgrades, including data encryption and hardware upgrades.
- Ability to assess the impact of upgrades and develop mitigation strategies.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to networking upgrades.

- Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools such as Cognos or Tableau.
- Awareness of security standards in data handling.
What You Need
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Required: bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience.
