About the role

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a key Nokia customer in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you'll design and develop network architectures and services, create implementation and migration plans, document configuration equipment and services, test and support networks in various deployment stages, provide recommendations to optimize network operations and performance, and collaborate with internal technical teams to enhance product placement and features for reliability, availability, and serviceability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently, including complex problem-solving in multi-vendor environments.
  • Develop, review, and recommend network-wide designs covering performance, spectrum, and capacity (within and across regions).
  • Organize field measurements and laboratory tests.
  • Perform network audits, especially where faults or problems exist.
  • Optimize networks based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Support experts in developing network configuration files and interface analysis.
  • Design network architecture and services using the best available solutions to support customer services.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science or 5+ years of equivalent practical work experience.
  • Experience with MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP, RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS, Nokia Route.
  • Experience in QoS implementation/testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring IP networking protocols.
  • Strong customer mindset and solid written/verbal communication skills for end-client interactions.
  • Nokia DataCenter experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Nokia products (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, EDA, and NSP).
