Technical Project Manager

Contract role supporting a medical-device client in Acton, MA (onsite 1–2 weeks per quarter).

About the role

This Technical Project Manager coordinates clinical builds and cross-functional readiness for ongoing algorithm and product updates. Responsibilities include managing mobile-device (iOS/Android) processes, documenting OTA/FOTA firmware updates, and monitoring cloud infrastructure for active clinical studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional coordination to deliver clinical builds for algorithm updates, tracking dependencies and readiness across teams
• Map and document new clinical-build processes, including the phone-reuse set-up process
• Establish repeatable device-capability processes for the iOS and Android phones used in clinical studies
• Define and document how studies use Pod OTA and FOTA firmware-update capabilities
• Coordinate cloud surveillance and monitoring for active clinical studies and drive timely issue resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
• Program or project coordination experience in medical devices, digital health, or another regulated (FDA/ISO 13485) environment
• Familiarity with mobile software builds and device management across iOS and Android
• Strong process-mapping and documentation skills (SOPs, checklists, workflows)

Pay

Hourly rate: $50.00 – $57.00, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
