Technical Project Manager

Day to Day

Lead and manage multiple technology projects from planning through execution and production release.

Cook up cross-functional teams including developers, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Drive release planning, scheduling, and execution while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, project status meetings, and executive updates.

Track project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timelines are met.

Work closely with technical teams to understand application changes and communicate impacts to business partners.

Remove roadblocks, escalate issues when necessary, and keep projects moving forward.

Ensure projects are delivered with high quality while maintaining organization and attention to detail.

Must Haves

  • Create, maintain, and execute Run Books for production releases, deployments, and operational support.
  • 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience supporting technology initiatives.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand software development, infrastructure, application releases, and production environments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience using MS Copilot, Gemini, or other AI productivity tools.
  • Proven ability to take ownership, drive projects independently, and keep teams accountable.
  • Strong leadership presence with the confidence to push back when necessary, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience coordinating production deployments, change management activities, and release readiness across multiple teams.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through.

Plusses

  • Experience managing enterprise software releases.
  • Financial services or large enterprise experience.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications and modern development teams.
  • Release management experience.
