Technical Project Manager

About the role

Beacon Data is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead complex data-focused projects that transform how our clients operate. In this role, you’ll drive technical delivery and cross-functional collaboration with Beacon teams and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data flows within ERP, CRM, IoT, and other workflow systems
• Redesign data pipelines and architecture to maintain a single source of truth
• Stand up cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g., Redshift, EC2) and manage ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt)
• Implement and maintain BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and integrations (Salesforce, Epicor, Adobe, etc.)
• Lead data ingestion and transformation processes into modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Collaborate with business teams to define KPIs and prepare data for analytics and reporting
• Manage high-priority foundational projects like customer definition and order flow streamlining

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven technology leadership experience
• 4+ years of experience engineering, architecting, and delivering technology solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for data and emerging technologies
• Ability to develop solutions tailored to client needs while remaining technology-agnostic
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing IT and analytics project delivery in agile environments
• Strong leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork across functions
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and building scalable data services
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, data mapping, and business process improvement
• Ability to handle multiple initiatives and drive execution independently
• Familiarity with process redesign, operational analytics, and cross-functional stakeholder management
