In this role, you’ll drive technical delivery and cross-functional collaboration with Beacon teams and client stakeholders. Your work will include: Analyzing data flows within ERP, CRM, IoT, and other workflow systemsRedesigning data pipelines and architecture to maintain a single source of truthStanding up cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g., Redshift, EC2) and managing ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt)Implementing and maintaining BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and integrations (Salesforce, Epicor, Adobe, etc.)Leading data ingestion and transformation processes into modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)Collaborating with business teams to define KPIs and prepare data for analytics and reportingManaging high-priority foundational projects like customer definition and order flow streamlining WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll lead and collaborate with a cross-functional Beacon team consisting of Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists. You’ll also work closely with client-side data analysts, engineers, IT stakeholders, and business leaders in a dynamic, agile environment. As the key delivery lead, you’ll ensure that Beacon’s solutions align with both the technical landscape and strategic goals of the client. WHAT YOU'LL DO Beacon Data is seeking a talented, Technical Project Manager (“TPM”) to join our data team and help us solve complex and interesting problems for our diverse clients. Your team will: Analyze the data flowing through the existing ERP, CRM, IOT and other workflow systemsStructure and redesign the data flows with the aim of maintaining single source of truth for all master data and consistent reportingSet up and maintain the appropriate data infrastructure to support the above plan on an AWS environment (ex: Redshift, EC2, ELT tools, data wrangling tools)Maintain the highest security standards across the entire data eco systemImplement and maintain BI & reporting toolsIntegrate with workflow systems such as Sales Force, Epicor, Adobe Marketing, etc.Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into a data warehouseCollaborate with business teams to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in reporting and BI WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH The TPM will provide day-to-day leadership and direction to a technical team made up of Data Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Scientists. Beacon’s project team will also work and collaborate closely with this fast-growing client’s internal data analyst, data engineer, and IT department following an agile scrum project delivery method. This is not a “go-to- your-cubicle” role, but rather a dynamic environment with active cross-team communication and collaborative problem solving focused on building tools for improving company-wide effectiveness with data, initially focusing on two foundational data projects: Customer Definition and Customer Data Cleansing; andOrder Flow Analysis and Data Streamlining Once these foundational projects are complete, Beacon and the client will be able to execute many other strategic projects and analyses that will impact business value Other foundational project benefits include understanding customers to more effectively upsell and cross sell, increased productivity inside and outside the IT department, warehouse optimization, increased call center efficiencies, and retiring their old BI platform. RESPONSIBILITIES Be the face of Beacon with this and other Beacon clients.Act as liaison between Beacon SME's and Beacon’s on the ground project staff.Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders and product management to ensure data solution teams deliver on business needs in a consistent & predictable manner.Manage the delivery of data solutions including integration with internal and external systems.Help define project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with technical stakeholders and business partners.Assign and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget (manage Jira, stand-up meetings, presentations, client updates, etc.).Establish, plan, and execute major client milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the client’s data solution and project life cycle.Own a client’s data and technology roadmap and ensure successful execution of the roadmap.Drive innovation into client data solutions through technology.Champion non-functional requirements like high availability, scalability, and performance.Enable rapid iteration processes while maintaining stable data solution delivery for clients.Architect and build scalable cloud-based services and supporting delivery processes for clients.Collaborate with clients’ senior stakeholders to ensure documentation, architecture guidelines and standards are created, updated and followed.Promote a culture of autonomy and initiative, while driving engagement teams to get stuff done.
