Responsibilities

  • Lead small to mid-sized engineering projects and support larger programs as a deputy to a Program Manager.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Quartus and clients, managing expectations and overseeing project execution from conception to completion.
  • Oversee project performance to meet quality, business, and financial objectives.
  • Manage project staffing, track labor, material, and expense costs, and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to mitigate cost and schedule constraints.
  • Handle issues and nonconformances, communicate with clients, and organize internal and external status meetings.
  • Deliver project performance feedback to engineers and their managers, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
  • Perform engineering tasks such as design, analysis, hardware build, and test as needed.
  • Champion process improvement by evaluating and enhancing program management methodologies, tools, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering fields such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, or related disciplines.
  • At least 6 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Aerospace Optical Systems (preferred), Opto-Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, or related fields.
  • Experience managing interdisciplinary engineering teams on technical development programs, including scope, budget, and schedule management.
  • Strong customer interaction and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency.

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering field – Aerospace, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical or similar discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Aerospace Optical Systems (preferred), Opto-Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical or similar.
  • Experience managing a team of interdisciplinary engineers on technical development programs, including scope, budget, and schedule management.
  • Strong aptitude for customer interaction and communication.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
