Technical Program Manager (Testing Operations)

What You'll Do

Develop and evolve R&D testing strategies in partnership with engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and PMO stakeholders.

Coordinate testing resources, schedules, facilities, and equipment to support development and validation activities.

Establish reporting, governance, and communication processes to track program status, risks, issues, and key milestones.

Manage relationships with proving grounds, test facilities, equipment providers, and other external partners.

Define and manage budgets associated with test tracks, equipment, and testing operations.

Drive process improvements and maintain documentation that promotes operational efficiency and stakeholder alignment.

Maintain a strong understanding of vehicle systems, software development lifecycles, and testing operations.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, operations, or management consulting.
  • Experience coordinating complex schedules, resources, or technical assets.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other safety-critical industries.
  • Background in test and validation, systems engineering, or product development.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs, operations, or facilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
