About the role

The Supply Chain Team at Fluidstack is looking for a Bridge Engineer and Sourcing Specialist to bridge the gap between engineering and procurement. This role requires expertise in translating design requirements into sourcing-ready specs and BOMs while maintaining technical intent. Key responsibilities include running supplier qualification and selection processes, reviewing vendor submittals, managing BOM revisions, and ensuring alignment between engineering and sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design requirements into sourcing-ready specs and BOMs without losing technical intent
  • Evaluate vendors on technical fit, lead time, and capacity during supplier qualification and selection processes
  • Review vendor submittals against design specs and catch deviations before they reach fabrication or the field
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure specs and POs align, managing cross-functional communication
  • Manage BOM revisions and change control across multiple concurrent engineering changes
  • Write and speak clearly to resolve technical disagreements between engineers and suppliers

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering and procurement
  • Technical skills in supplier qualification and selection processes
  • Ability to review vendor submittals and catch deviations early
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing BOM revisions and change control
  • Clear writing and speaking skills to resolve technical disagreements

Bonus

  • Data center or industrial equipment categories (switchgear, transformers, cooling, generators)
  • ERP or PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Arena)
  • Formal program or project management background
  • Experience on modular or first-of-a-kind builds
