About the role
The Software Delivery & Operations group at Sonos designs, develops, and operates the shared platforms, tools, and processes that enable Sonos teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and securely. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive initiatives that improve developer experience, software quality, and operational excellence through better systems, smarter processes, and strategic use of AI.
Responsibilities
- Program Operations and Execution Support
- Planning cadences, status reviews, and cross-functional coordination across engineering and platform teams.
- Maintain work tracking and reporting systems using tools such as Jira, GitHub, and Confluence.
- Build workflow automations using APIs across systems such as Jira and Confluence, leveraging AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code to accelerate experimentation and operational improvements.
- Contribute to the evolution of engineering metrics and operational reporting frameworks such as DORA and SPACE.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of experience in technical program and project management, engineering operations, or related roles within software or platform-focused environments.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
- Hands-on experience configuring or operating engineering tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions, Jira and Confluence, Jenkins, or AWS.
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Cursor.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders in technical environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate initiatives, improve processes, or support operational execution within technical teams.
