About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Administrative Access and Security Engineering teams to plan, build, and deploy robust access platforms and challenge infrastructures across all client surfaces.
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define, secure, and validate agentic access. Ensure all Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) to and from automated agents are securely validated, routed, and logged, meeting key commitments.
  • Manage the rollout of standardized zero trust security policies, justification mechanisms, and workforce or data access controls across critical corporate storage and database instances.
  • Track and manage core program roadmaps, map platform dependencies, drive exception burndowns, and convert technical designs for logging, resources, and justification systems into clear execution plans.
  • Establish program phasing and publish critical performance metrics to drive cross-functional consensus, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on resource stewardship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with infrastructure systems, network security configurations, or Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical programs across infrastructure or systems domains.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience leading highly technical programs or operating in technical infrastructure fields (e.g., network engineering, firewall analysis, security engineering, or data center systems engineering).
  • Deep domain knowledge of dynamic privileged access frameworks, zero trust architectures, and administrative justification/authorization systems.
  • Ability to act diplomatically yet assertively, comfortable challenging engineering designs, saying no to developers, and driving consensus among executive technical contributors.
  • Strong behavioral and communication skills to navigate complex design debates, present to a variety of stakeholders, connect technical and business outcomes, and resolve team friction constructively.
