About the role
Oracle Hardware Division is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer and Technical Program Manager to lead GPU and CPU server platform development and implementation in collaboration with external manufacturers and NVIDIA and AMD engineering teams. This role combines hardware systems engineering expertise with technical program management responsibilities, supporting complex server hardware products from development through validation and production delivery.
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Responsibilities
- Hardware Engineering & System Integration: Own assigned GPU system development plans from engineering requirements through qualification and production readiness. Evaluate hardware and software integration across GPU and CPU platforms, including firmware, drivers, and baseboard management controllers (BMC). Apply hardware systems engineering knowledge to identify technical dependencies, integration challenges, and potential risks. Work with NVIDIA, AMD, external manufacturers, and Oracle engineering teams to investigate technical issues using vendor validation tools, engineering logs, and test results. Coordinate internal and external testing to ensure hardware products are validated against agreed requirements before customer release. Review validation results, document readiness evidence, and drive resolution of quality and delivery issues.
- Technical Program Management & Execution: Lead assigned hardware development programs, coordinating requirements, schedules, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across engineering teams and external partners. Translate internal customer needs into engineering requirements and actionable program plans. Align supplier priorities, engineering schedules, and development activities with product delivery objectives. Coordinate hardware development through engineering validation, design validation, production validation, and manufacturing readiness. Track program execution against schedules, technical milestones, quality requirements, and budget constraints. Anticipate and mitigate technical and program risks, manage changes through established review processes, and escalate issues beyond delegated authority. Evaluate technical trade-offs and alternative approaches, considering quality, schedule, and cost implications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Oracle hardware, software, and cloud engineering teams, GPU and CPU suppliers, and joint design manufacturers to coordinate engineering activities. Build relationships across lines of business and with external partners and leadership. Communicate technical trade-offs, program risks, progress, milestones, and next steps to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Provide evidence-based recommendations to support management decisions affecting assigned products and programs. Prepare technical reports, program updates, and executive briefings, including senior leadership and SVP reviews when required. Drive alignment and issue resolution across engineering teams and external partners without direct reporting authority.
