The Marvin Group is a strategic partner for global alternate mission equipment and sustainment, specializing in defense contracting for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport, the group comprises Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). With over 60 years of experience, The Marvin Group supports the Department of Defense and global allies through collaboration with major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

Responsibilities

  • Set program milestones and communicate program status to team and leadership.
  • Identify program risks and coordinate a plan of response to mitigate risks.
  • Manage development, delivery, and qualification of depth subsystems based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business need.
  • Resolve dependencies with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage communication within, and between, internal engineering and external vendor teams.
  • Collaborate with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules (e.g., semester plans, milestones, timelines, releases) for multiple feature areas.
  • Familiarity with bills of material (BOM), engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
  • 6+ years' experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years' experience managing large-scale global programs in technology deployments.
  • Aerospace & Defense or Automotive manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cross-discipline collaboration and problem resolution skills with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
  • Effective program coordination skills and the ability to create, implement, and monitor basic projects and plans.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of ITAR, as defined: a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
