About the Team
The Strategic Product Engagement Team is a Splunk force multiplier driving durable Splunk and Cisco cross-portfolio growth. We are building an enterprise product-led growth and retention capability that converts product usage telemetry, lifecycle data, and customer insight into coordinated, proactive action in Product & Technology, partnering with Customer Experience and Sales. Our mandate is to identify product-rooted challenges and gaps early and activate the right mitigations. Over time, we will extend the same operating model to accelerate adoption, expansion, and Splunk and Cisco cross-portfolio value. We work through a unified engagement model with shared accountability, clear decision rights, and disciplined handoffs to the teams that own the customer relationship, commercial motion, and product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic product-led customer engagements.
- Own product-led workstreams for a portfolio of strategic customers.
- Weekly consolidation and reporting on status of product-led workstreams on a per-customer basis to customers and their Splunk go-to-market leaders.
- Plan and execute product-led technical summits with key accounts (in-person or remote) and consolidate the resulting product-led workstreams.
- Serve as the vital connection between the Strategic Product Engagement Team and Splunk's product organization.
- Define and hold Splunk product teams to rigorous Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize collaboration and AI tools to perform analysis, track status and trends, and provide executive-level summaries that drive strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a Lead or Co-owning TPM, maintaining high-integrity project artifacts such as Risk Registers, RACI charts, and technical deployment plans to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of demonstrated ability in technical program or product management, with a strong focus on IT/TechOps, SRE, or cloud platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize technical data into executive-friendly summaries for cross-functional stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and AMER.
- Experience with ITSM platforms (JIRA, ServiceNow) and collaboration tools (Webex, Slack, MS Office).
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, DevSecOps, SDLC).
- Advanced ability to define success metrics, interpret complex dashboards, and derive technical conclusions to refine engineering strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Splunk products (Cloud Platform, Enterprise, Enterprise Security).
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management frameworks, or SRE practices (e.g., error budgets, SLO/SLI management).
- Experience with financial management and resource planning for large-scale engineering programs.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $135,400.00 to $171,400.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for specific locations is listed below:
- New York City Metro Area: $147,800.00 - $222,600.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $135,400.00 - $197,100.00
For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

- 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward.
- Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members.
- Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
- Annual bonuses for non-sales roles, subject to Cisco’s policies.
- For employees on sales plans: performance-based incentive pay split between quota and non-quota components.
- Quota-based incentive pay:
- 0.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota.
- 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%.
- 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%.
- Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
- Non-quota-based sales performance elements: Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target.

Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
