Technical Program Manager, Amazon Advertising

About the role

We're seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Data Infrastructure and Generative Intelligence (DIGI) team within Advertising Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large cross-functional projects end-to-end that enable AI-powered insights and data-driven decision-making across Advertising Finance.

Responsibilities

• Collect business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, write specifications, drive project schedules from design to release, and manage the production launch.
• Lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between data engineering, business intelligence, finance, and product teams to develop optimal solutions that advance generative AI and data infrastructure capabilities.
• Make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs versus technical constraints across multiple workstreams spanning data infrastructure, GenAI enablement, and platform modernization.
• Take large, complex projects, break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams

Skills

• Strong program management background with demonstrated experience leading large, complex cross-functional programs
• Well-rounded technical background in data platforms, AI/ML systems, and modern data infrastructure
• Ability to understand and dive deep into details with an understanding of data engineering concepts, generative AI tooling, and translating complex technical capabilities into actionable business insights
• Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity

Pay

USA, NY, New York — $139,900.00 – $189,200.00 USD annually
