Technical Product Support Specialist

Responsibilities
- Product Management Support
- Assist the Product Manager with product planning, roadmap execution, and market introduction activities.
- Gather customer and market feedback to support product improvement and next-generation development.
- Help prepare business cases, competitive analyses, and product positioning materials.
- Technical Sales Enablement
- Travel with regional sales teams to provide technical expertise and product demonstrations to customers.
- Support customer meetings, trade shows, and technology workshops by presenting the technical and application benefits of HORIBA metrology solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into actionable product specifications or configuration guidance.
- Customer Engagement & Market Insight
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and channel partners to understand their evolving process needs.
- Participate in technical discussions to identify and clarify application opportunities for HORIBA solutions.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, emerging technologies, and customer roadmaps to inform product strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Cook up with engineering, service, and marketing teams to ensure alignment across product activities.
- Support technical documentation, user manuals, and training resources to enhance customer experience.
- Contribute to global communication between regional offices, manufacturing, and R&D for product alignment and planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technical discipline or 8+ years’ experience in same/similar disciplines,
- 3–7 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, metrology, or a related technical field.
- Exposure to customer-facing roles such as applications engineering, field support, or product support preferred.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including lithography, deposition, etch, and inspection/metrology.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with metrology and inspection techniques. Emphasis given for technologies such as Raman spectroscopy, laser-scattering, ellipsometry, AOI, Pholuminescence, or X-ray metrology.
- Ability to interpret process flows, system specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with confidence explaining technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and cultures.
- Self-starter with curiosity to learn and initiative to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Willingness/ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30–40%).
- Ability to drive for the company, or access to reasonable transportation to visit customers.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and globally integrated environment.
