About the Role

Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Specialized’s Product Testing & Quality technology platforms, including LIMS, Field Test, and Quality Inspection systems. This role ensures testing, validation, and compliance platforms scale with R&D and NPI demands while protecting premium product quality.

You will modernize and scale lab and field-testing platforms, enable end-to-end quality traceability, reduce launch risk, and ensure testing systems accelerate—not block—innovation and time-to-market.

Responsibilities

  • Modernize and scale lab and field-testing platforms to support R&D and new product introduction (NPI) demands.
  • Enable end-to-end quality traceability across testing and validation systems.
  • Reduce launch risk by ensuring robust, compliant testing platforms.
  • Lead large-scale LIMS implementations, extensions, or replacements.
  • Integrate LIMS with R&D systems, PLM, engineering platforms, test automation, lab equipment, data lakes, analytics platforms, and ERP.
  • Translate business and lab needs into technical integration requirements.
  • Own multi-site, multi-year platform programs, managing timelines, cross-system dependencies, vendors, budgets, and scope.
  • Bridge communication between lab scientists, quality engineers, R&D leadership, IT architecture, security teams, and external vendors.
  • Turn ambiguous and evolving requirements into actionable delivery plans.
  • Drive adoption and behavioral change in lab modernization initiatives.
  • Anticipate and mitigate organizational friction during platform transitions.
  • Guide platforms through multiple stages of maturity over time.
  • Apply data discipline to enable scalable reporting, analytics, automation, and future AI use cases.
  • Identify opportunities to automate test data capture, result publishing, and quality reporting.
  • Review architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and validation documentation.

Systems Integration Leadership

  • Direct experience integrating LIMS with R&D systems, PLM, engineering platforms, test automation, lab equipment, data lakes, analytics platforms, or ERP.
  • Strong ability to translate business and lab needs into technical integration requirements.

  • Strong bridge between business and technical teams, engaging lab scientists, quality engineers, R&D leadership, IT architecture, security teams, and external vendors.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous and evolving requirements into actionable delivery plans.

Change Management & Platform Maturity

  • Experience modernizing labs from manual or semi-digital processes to enterprise platforms.
  • Drives adoption and behavioral change, not just system go-live.
