About the role
Technology Partners is seeking a talented Manager, Technical Product Owner to oversee IT product teams within the organization, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and operational management. This is a full-time, hybrid position in St. Louis.
What You Will Be Doing
You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to align product development with company goals and growth opportunities. In this role, you will manage product backlogs, facilitate Agile iterations, and support timely delivery of new functionalities. You will also monitor project status, control scope and expenses, and ensure adherence to SLAs and programming standards. As a leader, you will direct and develop the product staff, improve operational policies, and stay current on technology advancements impacting your products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic vision to IT product teams to drive technical development
- Develop and maintain the technology roadmap aligned with business goals
- Manage product backlogs, iteration planning, and user story elaboration
- Lead release planning and set expectations for new functionalities delivery
- Monitor project progress, schedules, scope, and costs, providing regular updates to executive leadership
- Ensure team compliance with SLAs and programming standards
- Support the implementation of new systems and ongoing product improvement initiatives
- Review, improve, and enforce operational policies and procedures
- Make personnel decisions related to staffing, performance, and development
- Stay informed about key technological developments relevant to managed products
- Act as the liaison for managed products across IT and facilitate collaboration with related teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience, ideally within a business services organization
- Proven ability to lead critical business systems or applications
- Experience managing all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated competence applying both waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager or IT Manager
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License
