Technical Product Manager

About the role
As a Technical Product Manager (TPM), you influence how the business goes from ideas to value. You will be responsible for the full solution lifecycle: working with stakeholders to identify pain points, designing solutions, authoring requirements, prioritizing work, guiding development, and ensuring successful adoption. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and operations, balancing strategic thinking with execution.
Responsibilities
- Sit with business stakeholders to help translate pain points into business cases.
- Research and validate problems to ensure solutions address root causes rather than symptoms.
- Work with cross-functional departments to ideate solutions and develop recommendations.
- Prioritize opportunities based on business value, strategic alignment, effort, and risk.
- Translate ideas into business and technical requirements.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
- Own and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs.
- Assist in sprint planning and allocation of engineering resources.
- Work with engineers during development to ensure on-time and on-spec delivery.
- Make recommendations regarding scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs throughout the development process.
- Partner with risk, compliance, operations, and information security teams to ensure solutions meet governance and regulatory requirements.
- Develop launch strategies, training materials, and communication plans to ensure successful adoption.
- Maintain performance metrics on solutions to identify value, adoption, and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather feedback after launch and continuously improve products and workflows.
- Make strategic recommendations on technology, processes, and automation opportunities to keep the bank modern and efficient.
Qualifications
- You are technical and can speak comfortably with engineers about technology.
- You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding how processes, systems, and people work together.
- You are strong at talking to people from different backgrounds and synthesizing patterns.
- You can take an ambiguous problem and turn it into a well-defined plan.
- You can balance competing priorities and make thoughtful tradeoffs.
- You are analytical and use data to support decisions and measure outcomes.
- You have strong presentation skills and feel comfortable communicating with large groups.
- You understand the importance of stakeholder management and can build alignment across different teams.
- You are comfortable shifting between strategic thinking and execution.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with software development teams, data teams, or technology projects.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience writing requirements, user stories, process documentation, or business cases.
- Experience with APIs, databases, reporting platforms, workflow automation, or system integrations is a plus.
- Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is a plus.
Candidates do not need prior experience as a Product Manager but should have exposure to and comfort with product management concepts. This role is a strong fit for engineers, business analysts, consultants, or technology professionals looking to transition into product management.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $118,233.28 to $157,791.60. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, commissions, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
