A Product Manager at Clarus will shape the future of pet insurance technology by delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions. This role involves leading product initiatives, collaborating with various teams, and driving impactful user experiences.

Job Description

  • Product Execution & Delivery: Execute product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements. Collaborate with the Director of Product.

  • Customer & Market Insights: Conduct user research, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to inform product decisions and identify opportunities.

  • Requirements & Documentation: Translate business needs into clear product requirements for design and engineering teams.

  • Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, UI design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth product development and successful launches.

  • Quality & Performance Monitoring: Support testing, QA, and post-launch analysis to ensure product quality and performance meet expectations.

  • Go-to-Market Support: Assist in preparing product documentation, training materials, and internal communications to enable effective product launches.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, insurance technology, or related digital platforms

  • 5+ years professional experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, Aha!)

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions

  • Technical aptitude required—daily interaction with engineers

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the insurance industry (P&C, life, health, or embedded insurance)

  • Pet health or pet insurance experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with APIs, digital transformation initiatives, or InsurTech platforms

Education

  • Must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)

  • Associate’s Degree in a Technical Field

  • Certification in relevant focus area
