Technical Problem Solver Expert - Red X

About the role

As a Technical Problem Solver Expert, you will lead the resolution of complex, high-impact technical issues using structured methodologies such as Shainin Red X and Six Sigma. This role drives measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery while developing problem-solving capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex and difficult technical problems
• Lead a cross-functional team to apply structured problem-solving methodologies (Shainin, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
• Define priorities and proactively anticipate roadblocks to find solutions, escalating when needed
• Ensure rigor and governance of problem-solving methodologies across the organization
• Coach and develop Problem Solver Practitioners
• Select high-impact projects across plants or business units
• Report project progress, people development, and savings to Senior Management
• Apply statistical analysis (Minitab, JMP) to validate root causes and solutions

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Physical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related)
• Shainin Red X Journeyman or Master certification (mandatory)
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred
• 5–10 years’ experience in technical problem solving
• Proven track record solving complex technical issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership and cross-functional team management experience
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to develop others and act as a positive change agent

Pay

Competitive base salary range: $130,400 – $163,000 (subject to change based on physical location and experience/qualifications). Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits.
