About the Role
My client—a fast-growing, venture-backed startup—is looking for a leader to sit directly between enterprise customers, data scientists, and engineering teams. In this high-impact, individual contributor role, you will shape how Fortune 500 companies run automated legal oversight and evaluation over their generative and agentic AI systems.
Why You Should Apply
- Bridge Law & Code: Build practical evaluation frameworks for complex agentic AI systems and red-teaming tests.
- High-Impact Exposure: Work directly with enterprise General Counsels, product leads, and machine learning teams.
- Startup Growth: Join an elite 11-person team backed by top investors with strong financial runway.
- Total Flexibility: Work 100% remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
- Law Firm Exit: Fast-track your transition from traditional legal practice to an engineering-native tech company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Translating legal obligations, regulatory guidance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF), and compliance policies into concrete, testable software standards.
- Managing enterprise customer relationships and translating customer needs directly into product strategy.
- Designing evaluation techniques for generative AI, agentic behavior, and tool-use failure modes.
About You
- 5+ years of combined professional experience across law firm practice (privacy/IP focus preferred) and pre-law technical roles.
- J.D. combined with a background in Computer Science, Data Science, or software engineering.
- Practical coding experience and comfort working hands-on with data science teams.
