Gritter Francona is seeking a Technical Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple hospitals, medical centers, and outpatient clinics. This role will serve as a key technical resource throughout discovery, planning, deployment, and transition activities, ensuring each site is technically prepared to support the new EHR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute technical discovery activities across hospitals, medical centers, and clinics
  • Assess End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO), network infrastructure, and other technical requirements at individual sites
  • Conduct post-discovery analysis to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical requirements necessary to support EHR implementation
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client's standard capabilities, approved devices, interfaces, infrastructure, and technical requirements to support effective discovery and gap analysis
  • Document findings, requirements, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner
  • Support the development and maintenance of technical scope, site readiness requirements, project plans, and implementation documentation
  • Track device procurement, inventory, delivery, deployment, and logistics activities
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local site IT leaders and technology, networking, engineering, infrastructure, and other technical teams
  • Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain implementation timelines
  • Support technical readiness activities leading up to EHR deployment and transition
  • Participate in cutover planning, readiness assessments, and go-live support as required
  • Coordinate and/or manage engineering activities, ensuring technical dependencies and deliverables remain on schedule
  • Identify technical risks and issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies
  • Provide clear and timely status updates to project leadership and client stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, tracking tools, and technical deliverables
  • Travel periodically to hospitals and clinics across various geographic locations to perform assessments and support implementation activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
  • Experience supporting technology implementations, infrastructure projects, or complex technical deployments
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically to hospitals, clinics, and other client locations
