On-siteProject Management$160k–$250k/yrFull-time

HealthLeap is building an AI operating system that helps care teams identify missed hospitalized patients, improving health outcomes and generating significant cost savings. Over the past year the company has grown contracted revenue more than 13×, expanded across leading health systems, and now supports millions of inpatient encounters. The team is ~25 people, has raised >$32 M, and operates from San Francisco with a hybrid‑friendly model.

About the role

You’ll bring customer evidence into decisions, shape scope, and drive delivery across the company. Work will involve translating clinician‑described problems into solutions, expanding existing products, and keeping customers and engineers aligned throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Speak with clinicians, understand their workflows, and help take new products from 0 to 1.
  • Shape and deliver feature expansions for existing customers, then learn from how they use what shipped.
  • Coordinate changes such as a new data feed specification or FHIR API across hospital teams, customer success, and engineering.
  • Keep owners, dependencies, decisions, and deadlines clear.
  • Build working prototypes with AI coding tools so customers and engineers can test ideas early.
  • Investigate product questions yourself: write SQL, inspect API requests and responses, trace data through a workflow, and identify where expected and actual behavior differ.
  • Write requirements that cover system behavior, edge cases, failure modes, and verification methods.
  • Work through implementation trade‑offs with engineers.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and changed expectations proactively.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in product management, including taking a product from 0 to 1 and into users’ hands.
  • Strong organization and project‑management skills; ability to follow through across teams even when plans change.
  • Clear communication with customers and engineers, both in writing and conversation.
  • Hands‑on experience with technical products: can write and review SQL, read API documentation and sample payloads, understand data flows, and investigate technical issues before involving engineers.
  • Ability to discuss architecture, constraints, and trade‑offs with engineers and translate those discussions into precise product decisions; demonstrated on a shipped product.
  • Ability to build and test a useful prototype with AI coding tools.

Preferred qualifications

  • Healthcare or clinical product experience.
  • Experience delivering products with enterprise customers.
  • Startup experience spanning product discovery and delivery.

Pay

$160,000–$250,000 base salary plus meaningful equity.

Benefits

  • 100% covered healthcare premiums.
  • Unlimited PTO (recommended minimum of 20 days).
  • 4% 401(k) match.
  • Laptop and home office budget.

Schedule

Location: San Francisco, in‑person. Default is every day, with an expectation of about 32 hours per week in the office. When working from home, post “wfh today” in Slack; no tracking or approvals—output is judged, not hours.
