Responsibilities
- Operates, adjusts, and maintains industrial machinery and equipment to meet product parameters.
- Monitors operation of all machines within the department to ensure optimal production efficiencies.
- Ensures all product is processed within the assigned department.
- Performs quality checks of work and documents findings on appropriate paperwork.
- Cleans machinery, equipment, and work area using provided supplies and utensils.
- Maintains and fixes production equipment within the assigned department.
- Assists in training operators within the department.
- Works with technicians and contractors on training procedures and machinery maintenance.
- Maintains a clean work area, including proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
- Communicates quality issues and problems to supervisor/manager.
- Monitors product volume, quality, and records data.
- Complies with and supports Environment, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.
- Performs fine-tuning of the sorting line to meet pieces-per-minute requirements.
- Knowledge of flaw master functions, label machine systems, and adjustments.
- Adjusts techno speeds and parameters as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Technical Certificate preferred.
- 1+ years of previous manufacturing/production experience.
Skills
- Good oral communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Routinely works at heights requiring fall protection.
Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May be required to sit, climb, or balance occasionally.
- May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
- Noise level is usually loud.
