Job Summary/Description
The role of Technical Media Producer (TMP) at WTOK-TV involves directing live or pre-recorded productions, monitoring on-air signals and equipment, and ingesting daily programming and commercials. Key responsibilities include learning and using various production tools like Ross Overdrive automation, production video switcher, master control video switcher, Chyron or VizRT graphics systems, and Adobe Photoshop. The position also involves desktop video editing, directing specific newscasts, miscellaneous station productions, and digital platform elements. The work schedule is variable, accommodating shifts, project demands, and station operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to work shifts of at least 8 hours, with occasional longer shifts, 5 days per week, sitting or standing for long periods.
- Ability to carry moderately heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using a computer for tasks such as email communication, report preparation, automation execution, and video editing.
- Potential exposure to high noise and unusual light levels.
