Technical Manager, Water Infrastructure

Ramboll is seeking a Technical Manager for Water Infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic region (Richmond, VA/Arlington, VA/Hunt Valley, MD). Responsibilities

• Lead technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients, including planning, execution, and close-out.
• Assist in developing design concepts, criteria, analysis, and design methodologies, as well as evaluating alternative designs and conducting constructability reviews.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, engineering computation/technical reports, construction plans, and specifications for projects of medium to high complexity.
• Perform QA/QC and value engineering reviews.
• Provide bid phase and construction phase services.
• Support business development through proposal creation, project estimating, and planning.
• Coordinate and mentor technical staff and oversee project teams in collaboration with other Project Managers and People Managers.
• Stay current with engineering standards and practices by participating in technical societies and associations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with demonstrated expertise in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity pipeline design, pressure pipeline design, and pipeline rehabilitation using trenchless technologies.
• Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and their application to municipal and industrial clients.
• Knowledge of major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices for complex structures and projects.
• PE license in VA, DC, and/or MD required, with the ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity.

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for bonus, overtime, or other forms of compensation, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
