About the role
Ramboll in Americas is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical linear infrastructure designs and prepare contract documents for municipal and industrial clients. The role involves assisting in the development of design concepts, performing detailed design calculations, and coordinating project teams.
Responsibilities
- Leading technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients
- Assisting in the development of design concepts and criteria, analysis, and design approach/methodologies
- Performing bid phase and construction phase services
- Supporting business development proposal creation, project estimating, and planning
- Coordination and mentoring of technical staff and oversight of project teams
- Involvement in technical societies and associations to stay current with engineering standards and practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- 8+ years of experience (demonstrated expertise accepted) with technical proficiency in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity pipeline design, pressure pipeline design, and pipeline rehabilitation utilizing trenchless technologies
- Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and how they apply to our Municipal and Industrial clients
- Knowledge and experience with major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices needed for design of complex structures and projects
- PE license in VA, DC, and/or MD required with ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity

Pay Range: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
